The information written here below is for circus artists or circus students from around the world that wish to come to Israel and to get in contact with the Israeli circus community.

In Israel we have for the moment 7 circus schools/centers. I write them here from North to south with some info about them and their contact:

1. "The Israeli circus School" in Kfar Yehoshua (near the city Haifa) – a small circus school for kids and adults with activities 5 days a week from 16:00 until 21:00, and a Saturday event once a month with workshops and shows open for public. The school have a building of his own with a big space with hanging points at 12m high for aerial static equipment. They have about 120 students. The directors are very friendly and welcoming collaborations with foreign circus artists. It is possible for circus artists to: come and train every day until 16:00, to use the space for residence for creating a show, to give workshops and classes, and to play in the Saturday event. The directors of the school are also open for other propositions. For example – In 2010 they helped the Irish clown without borders to play in different hospitals and boarding schools in the area. This school is also involved in sociopolitical activities such as Jewish-Arab circus activities.

4. "Sandciel" – placed in Park Yakum (near the city Netanya).  A contemporary circus school for adults (3 years school with about 15 to 20 students each year).  For the moment is the one and only place in Israel that have professional circus formation. The school have a small circus tent with hanging points at 7m high, few structures for aerial outdoor work and they also can use a big Auditorium hall in the near by Kibuts. The spaces are occupied all week, but it is possible to contact them for joining the training hours, for proposing classes or workshops and for playing in different events that they organize. Very creative and nice people direct the school, and they will be happy to collaborate with different international projects. One of the directors of the school also have a production company called Reaction and they sell circus shows and items for events, so it is possible to contact him for getting gigs here in Israel.

In the tent there are hanging points at 10m high for static aerial. This school also organize events and sell shows for events, so possible to contact them for giving workshops and for playing in their events. But, very important – many artists had complicated experiences with working with them. So, if you do a deal with them, make sure you close in writing all the little details of work, like this you can avoid misunderstandings and conflicts later.

7. "The Dubnov Workshop": placed in Tel Aviv. It is a free open group for aerialists to train together in a little outdoor park in the center of the city called Ginat Dubnov (Dubnov's Garden). The workshop was founded at 2006, and it has approximately 30 active members, professional and semi-professional aerialists. It is a place for training, artistic cooperation and creativity – but the workshop offers no classes and hosts no shows, and there is never any money involved. Training sessions are free of charge, and are held every Saturday afternoon all year round, (and sometimes also during the week). The orgenisers bring tissue, rope and static trapeze (other disciplines are welcome, but then you have to bring the equipment). The workshop is held outdoors, so take note of the weather conditions (trainings may be cancelled due to rain, but it never rain much in Israel…).
